• 1. ¶ IN my distress I cried to the LORD, and he heard me.
  • 2. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lips of the ungodly and from deceitful tongues.
  • 3. What shall be given to you? or what shall be added to you, you deceitful tongues?
  • 4. The arrows of the mighty are sharp; they are as hot coals of oak.
  • 5. ¶ Woe is me, that my sojourn is prolonged, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
  • 6. My soul has long dwelt with him that hates peace.
  • 7. I am for peace; but when I speak they fight with me.
