Глава 45

1. ¶ THE word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah; when he wrote these words on a scroll as Jeremiah dictated, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
2. Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning you, O Baruch:
3. You said. Woe is me! for the LORD has added grief to my sorrow; I am weary in my sighing and I find no rest.
4. Thus shall you say to him: Thus says the LORD: Behold that which you have built I will break down, and that which you have planted I will pluck up. I am laying waste the whole land.
5. And as for you who once sought great things for yourself, seek nothing that is of great value: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, says the LORD, but I will let you save your life in all countries where you go.
