- 1. The Lord raigneth, let the people tremble: he sitteth betweene the Cherubims, let the earth bee mooued.
- 2. The Lord is great in Zion: and he is high aboue all people.
- 3. Let them praise thy great and terrible Name: for it is holy.
- 4. The Kings strength also loueth iudgement, thou doest establish equitie: thou executest iudgement and righteousnes in Iacob.
- 5. Exalt yee the Lord our God, and worship at his footstoole: for he is holy.
- 6. Moses and Aaron among his Priests, and Samuel among them that call vpon his Name: they called vpon the Lord, and he answered them.
- 7. He spake vnto them in the cloudie pillar: they kept his Testimonies, and the Ordinance that he gaue them.
- 8. Thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgauest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inuentions.
- 9. Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill: for the Lord our God is holy.
2."Идите пред лице Его с восклицанием" - идите к Его алтарю с хвалебными гимнами.3."Познайте, что... мы... Его народ и овцы паствы Его", т. е. из всей истории Божественного водительства убедитесь, что Он нам особенно благоволит и особенно печется о вас, как пастух заботится о своих овцах.5.Господь непреложен и неизменен в великих обетованиях, данных своему народу. Неисполнение их зависит не от Бога, а от человека. Если последний всегда будет верен Ему, то его благополучие обеспечено, неотъемлемо.
Здесь, как и в предшествующем псалме, писатель, полный религиозного энтузиазма и веры в Иегову, приглашает народ слиться с ним в верности Его закону и благоговения пред Его великим именем. Постоянство такого настроения в народе явится источником его благополучия на земле и оплотом его могущества.
